A Super-Craving Strikes

I love food, especially sweets, and I will often crave something specific to satisfy my need for sugar. My most common craving is something very delicious and very Korean called "patbingsu". (In Korean it's 팥빙수) I've had it at a few different places, but the way they make it at Super H Mart is my favorite. It starts out looking something like this...

It's got shaved ice, dduk (small gummy rice cakes that are delicious), red bean paste (sounds gross to us Americans, I know, but it's sooo good), some fruit (usually fruit cocktail, like pineapple, grapes, peaches, strawberries, and sometimes kiwi), and a scoop of vanilla ice cream. The key to eating this dessert is to mix it all up first, so it ends up looking like this nasty grey sludge...more like this:

...I know it doesn't look that appetizing, but it is so delicious and cold. It makes your whole body cold, so it's great to get in the summer when it's hot out. I haven't had patbingsu in a few months, and I'm definitely experiencing withdrawals.

My Biggest Pet Peeve

I absolutely hate waiting around on other people. For example, a friend wants to hang out, so you get all ready to go out. You think they meant soon, but they didn't really give you a specific time, so you wait around for them to call you back. You try calling them but they don't answer, and texting doesn't work either. Maybe there are other things you could have been doing, but you didn't because you knew the minute you started, your friend would show up. It seems that every one of my friends is a professional at this. Is this normal? Do other people's friends make them wait all the time too?

Of course it's not just my friends that do this, though. Another pro at this is utility people. My dad will say, "Hey Shelley. I need you to stay at home all day because the pest control/cable/plumber/air conditioning guy will be there between 10 - 4." And of course the guy won't show up until 3:55. Another day wasted.

I know there are literally hundreds of things I could be doing right now. I could read a book, or watch some tv or a movie, I could play a game, practice guitar, listen to music, honestly I could do anything. But I think at this point I'm too annoyed to focus on any of that. If you didn't guess, this dilemma is happening to me at this very moment, but I'm not giving this person a fair chance. In this instance, he DID warn me this might happen, and when I texted him, he did reply. You could say he is indisposed at the moment, and it is not his fault. I get that, and I'm not mad at him...but I am definitely frustrated.

Why Must I Suck at Gaming...

...when I have a gamer boyfriend?

I feel like no matter what game we play, be it Team Fortress 2 or Left4Dead, I will ALWAYS be terrible at it. Okay, granted, I didn't exactly love TF2....but I tried. I eventually just kind of gave up on it because people were jerks to me (because I was bad...) I actually like Left4Dead, but every time I think I'm decent, someone comes along to make me look like an idiot.

Of course, there is a simple solution to this dilemma...or so you would think. You might ask, "Why don't you play game that YOU are good at, Shelley?" Why not? Because I'm good at casual games...like Mario Party and Mario Kart and other ridiculous things like that. Surprisingly, Ben is kind of terrible at them (sorry, Ben). So, no matter what game we play, one of us sucks and gets mad at the other for being awesome. Okay, I'm exaggerating a little. I'm not horrible at L4D. In fact, we're probably pretty level (with me being slightly lower), but I'm pretty sure this is something I will never get any better at, while Ben will always be improving. My ultimate solution to this was to get Fable 3 for both of us when it comes out (which I thought was in October, but the PC release date isn't until February)..I know that's something I'm good at, but Fable 2's co-op was pretty limited, so I'm wondering how it will be for 3. It's supposed to be different/better, but I guess we won't know until then. Another thing we could do it Portal 2 but do we even HAVE a release date for that yet???

Until then, I will continue being mediocre at zombie killing. And if I have a choice, I will always choose Ellis. I think it's the accent. He makes me feel at home :)

The classic LIST post.

I posted this a long time ago in my LiveJournal...Basically it's something Tessa and I wrote in high school while we were really bored in Sociology class.

(I'm normal font, Tessa is italicized)

My List of Top 10 Favorite Movies Ever

1. Gone With the Wind- Of course Scarlett is insanely petty, and Rhett's a total sex fiend (no really...he is), but this is still my favorite movie ever. I could never figure out what was so great about Ashley though. I guess his only appeal to Scarlett is that she can't have him...maybe?

2. Say Anything- Okay, so who COULDN'T love Lloyd Dobler? I mean, I want to marry him! It made me so mad when Ione Skye broke up with him and gave him a PEN!!! And to win her back, he stood outside her house, holding a boom box over his head, playing "In Your Eyes" by Peter Gabriel, a song that they had earlier had sex to...which I guess was pretty sweet.

3. Lord of the Rings Trilogy- Orlando Bloom--totally gorgeous with long blond hair. Enough said.

4. Harry Potter Series- Really exciting movies! But what were they thinking getting rid of Oliver Wood? He was way hot!

5. Legends of the Fall- Okay, so Julia Ormond's a total whore, practically going after 3 brothers at once! Sure, Brad Pitt's really hot, but later he gets really disgusting. But he was at least pretty hot when they had sex. I wanted her to end up with Aidan Quinn (I guess, because he's a Republican). And when she finally did, she killed herself! Um, Hello! He was the best one!

6. Psycho- Norman Bates was a totally cute, but really creepy innkeeper who posed as his dead mother and killed a girl while she was in the shower...what's not to love?

7. Better Off Dead- John Cusack as the heart broken Lane, who'd rather die than live without his incredibly shallow ex-girlfriend, Beth. He ends up falling for a French girl (yeah, okay...) with huge eyebrows and pretends to play her a song on his sax. Meanwhile, Ricky's mom blew up.

8. Can't Hardly Wait- Though the title is not grammatically correct, it's still a pretty good movie. Definitely a guilty pleasure. Nerdy Ethan Embry tries to woo Jennifer Love Hewiitt, the girl of his dreams. He was very cute. She was just dumb.

9. Sixteen Candles- Molly Ringwald's family forgets her 16th birthday. Unforgettable scenes, such as Long Duk Dong's explanation of what happened to Grandfather's car and "I want to stay home with you guys!". My one complaint is that this could never happen in real life. Sam is really nerdy and has never even spoken to him, and naturally, the most popular boy in school, Jake Ryan, just happens to love her back. At the end when they're sitting on the glass table, (which could have broken beneath their combined weight), her dress would've totally caught fire when she leaned over to kiss him.

10. Clueless- Popular Cher tries to make over clueless weed-smoking Ty and ends up creating a total monster. How come it took so long for Cher to realize that Josh, her step-brother, was totally hot, and that Elton was so lame?

Top 10 Best Movie Kisses

1. Drew Barrymore and Michael Vartan in Never Been Kissed- It was her first kiss ever, in front of everyone, on the pitcher's mound at a high school baseball game, and she could not have found a hotter guy to share it with.

2. Alicia Silverstone and Paul Rudd in Clueless- Aside from the fact that the guy was her step-brother, which is kind of sick, he was really cute, and it was a great kiss.

3. Kate Winslet and Leonardo DiCaprio is Titanic- Uh, duh. Leo was such a babe back then!

4. Vivian Leigh and Leslie Howard in Gone With the Wind- Even though Ashley was such a dork and it was totally wrong because he was married to Melanie (the sweetest person in the world), it was still a pretty hot kiss.

5. Tom Everett Scott and Liv Tyler in That Thing You Do!- Geez, it took you guys long enough! What was Faye doing with that loser Jimmy in the first place? He was such a jerk, and Guy was completely adorable!

6. Ethan Embry and Jennifer Love Hewitt in Can't Hardly Wait- You have to appreciate a movie where the geek gets the girl. Especially since after being in love with her for 4 years (ever since he saw her eating a strawberry PopTart, the VERY same PopTart he was eating at that exact moment!), he finally gets to make out with her at the end.

7. Kirsten Dunst and Tobey Maguire in Spiderman- Okay, not only was the fact that it was upside-down cool, but also the fact that Kirsten didn't even know it was him is SO ironic! Wanting to kiss a guy upside-down will now forever be a want of mine. Unfortunately, the only proposition I've ever gotten for upside-down rain kissing came from Timmy.

8. Orlando Bloom and Kiera Knightley in Pirates of the Caribbean- The entire movie is spent building up to that point, and when it finally happens it’s just perfect. Plus, Orlando in that hat = hot!

9. Ariel and Prince Eric in The Little Mermaid- The ENTIRE plot of the movie is that she needs him to kiss her so she can be human. Although he is stupid and doesn’t kiss her until the end, it is still a great kiss. I love the dress that she is wearing, plus the open arms, running through the ocean is a classic.

10. Anne Hathaway and Robert Schwartzmann in The Princess Diaries (our founder)-She gets the foot-pop that she wanted plus when the garden lights up and the fountains come on it is extremely romantic. A great kiss! I mean, the guy was kind of ugly and he was shorter than her, and a TOTAL misrepresentation of Michael, but it was really sweet. Plus, her foot popped! That’s just awesome.

Top 10 Male Book Characters You Got a Crush On (yes…we did.)

1. Rhys from the Two Princesses of Bamarre- His type of sorcery is just hot. And he is just so nice to Addie and so romantic that I find myself attracted to him.

2. Michael Moscovitz in The Princess Diaries- I mean, he's a geek with ABS. That's just hot. Plus, he's really sweet. Except for the whole, "I'm not going to wait around for ever" thing. If he really loved her, he'd say he'd wait until SHE was ready. But still, how could you not love him? True. Plue, he puts up with Mia, who can be really annoying at times. I don't like that he's a senior dating a freshman, though. That's worse than you! = )

3. Harold from Ghost Boy- I mean, yes, he was albino and that's weird. But think about it...I've liked some pretty pale guys. I can totally deal with the whole white thing! He was really very sweet to be friends with the Manimal and the midget lady (who fell in love...before she was crushed by an elephant). And he's so nice to Skip, even though she really loves Roman, not him.

4. Noah Calhoun from The Notebook- Not only was he an incredibly romantic guy, but he was way hot. He waited for Allie forever, and that's really sweet. I was going to put that one! He cares for her when she gets Alzheimer's, and those letters are the most romantic thing ever.

5. Ben Finney from Walk Two Moons- He was a total jerk to Sal at first, calling her Salamander, but it turned out he really liked her! When Sal was talking about kissing to Phoebe, she told her it tasted like chicken. And when Sal told Ben how her dead mom always smelled like blackberries, he told her their kiss tasted like them too...NOT like chicken. (edit: Even though I did not know Ben (my boyfriend) when I wrote this list, I think the reason I loved Ben Finney was because his name is Ben and he is from Ohio! Just like my Ben :D)

6. Alex Cheevy from Absolutely Normal Chaos- Mary Lou always described him as having pink cheeks. It could be rosacia, he should get that checked out! But anyway, he seemed really sweet, even if he was really shy and kind of dumb.

7. Ponyboy Curtis from the Outsiders- Duh. What girl wouldn't want a sensitive bad boy who likes poetry? It's a shame they couldn't find someone cuter than C. Thomas Howell for the movie. That was a good book, but I don't remember it.

8. The main guy in It Happened to Nancy- They are best friends and then he falls in love with her, even though she got AIDS from her ex-boyfriend (who's 27 and she's 15!!) and eventually she dies, but he is there for her until the end.

9. Robert in the Dear America book about the Titanic- He's a servant on board and always brings Margaret something special to eat and is very kind. The boat sinks(no way!) and he risks his life to make sure Margaret is okay, and he does eventually die. =( I cried!

10. Landon in A Walk to Remember- Okay, he's a total jerk at first, but then she reforms him and he becomes the greatest guy. When he finds out that Jamie is dying, he marries her so that they can spend the rest of her time together- extremely sweet.

11. [Edit] Valek from the Poison Study series- I don't know what it is about him, but his character has a very attractive personality to me. True he may be a little stand-offish, and he's not exactly Mr. Romantic, and while he's a good bit older than Yelena, they still make a ridiculously good couple.

10 Best Cry Movies

1. Legends of the Fall- I mean, EVERYONE dies! I've never cried so much during one movie! Especially when Isabel 2 dies, she didn't do anything wrong! But I didn't care that much about Susannah, I never liked her that much, she was kind of annoying. But I was sad for Alfred. Poor guy, he was such a loser, even his own wife didn't love him, I mean..she cut off all her hair and killed herself to get away from him! But Alfred totally came through in the end when he killed those guys who were after Tristan. I didn't like Alfred, but I guess he redeemed himself at the end. But with all the deaths and breakups and betrayals, this is definitely the saddest movie ever.

2. Titanic- This is the first movie that ever made me cry. I was only in 3rd grade and I cried all the way home from the theater. They were so in love and only had a few days together before Jack died--plus, he was so cute!! ='(Yeah, everyone definitely had a crush on him. I didn't exactly cry, but I was extremely sad and distrubed after seeing it.

3. Pearl Harbor- Okay, so I don't care about Rafe "dying", and I don't care about the stupid love traingle around Rafe, Danny, and Evelyn. What makes me cry is all those men who were killed in the attack. Especially the part when Rafe is at the Arizona, and he's holding the hands of the guys who are trapped inside and dying...it's so sad! Wow, I can't believe you remember the names. I agree about the event, not the storyline being the sad part.

4. The Patriot- Mel Gibson loses two of his children. Sure, he has (had) 7, but it's still sad. That evil Lucius Malfoy man kills them both, and I think that the saddest part of the movie is when he burns down the church with Gabriel's new wife and all those people inside. It's horrible! And they find her necklace and everything! It's so sad! It also sucked that Jason Isaacs had to kill the 2 cute sons...

5. The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants- Parents not loving their kids, kids not loving their parents, little girls with leukemia. Basically, it's sad. I really started crying hard when Tibby brought Bailey the pants, wanting their magic to make her better, and Bailey says, a very corny line, they've already worked their magic on her--they brought her to Tibby. That was really sad, but I don't think that the tears actually came out of my eyes.

6. Finding Neverland- Those poor little boys had already lost their father, and then they lose their mother too! It's the most beautiful death scene I've ever see (the way she just glides into Neverland) and when little Freddie Highmore looks up at Johnny Depp with those big teary eyes, you'd have to be heartless not to cry. I definitely did--starting when the orphans showed up to the play, because that was just sweet, and I didn't stop until about 5 minutes after it was over.

7. The Notebook- It was so sad, I mean, she finally remembered that she was Allie and he was Noah and they died together in bed. It was so sweet, he loved her all that time, even though she couldn't remember him or anything that happened between them. Yeah, I cried when she stopped remembering and started yelling. That had to hurt. The book was sadder though. What do you mean "the book was sadder"? They didn't even die in the book! It just ended with "and he began unbuttoning his shirt." Old people sex. Ew.

8. Last of the Mohicans- First, the guy who you think is a prick sacrifices himself for Daniel Day-Lewis and is burned at the stake, then the sister kills herself because the guy she loved was killed. Ok, both the main characters live, but what they go through and the deaths of their family members is heartbreaking. Any movie that involves someone jumping off a cliff for the person they love is sad. And I don't know what my mom's talking about, the guy who died was not that hot...but still, really sad.

9. My Girl- This movie is SO sad! Vada Sultenfuss's mom is dead, but she's perfectly happy with just her dad and Thomas Jay, her best friend. Until Shelly comes along and now her dad's got no time for her so she feels along already and that's sad. But then she gets her period and connects with Shelly and doesn't want to be around Thomas Jay because he's a guy. Then he steps on a beehive and DIES! And he was looking for her mood ring, and had it on when they found him.It always makes me cry at the funeral when she's crying for someone to put on his glasses, he can't see without his glasses. Even though I knew that Thomas Jay was going to die, I still cried a lot because it was THAT sad.

10. A Walk to Remember- I had no idea when I went to see this that it was going to be sad. But then Jamie has leukemia and Landon loves her so much and she is very nice to everyone and they get married and she dies and it is extremely sad. (That may be the least grammatically correct sentence that I have ever written!) Like I said, I didn't cry at the movie, but everyone else did. I definitely cried 3 months earlier when I read the book, though.

10 Best TV Shows Ever

1. Friends- I know it's overused, but this is a great show. It's hilarious, easy to watch, and everyone can find a friend who they relate to. The show ran for 10 years- it had to be doing something right.

2. Arrested Development- Okay, there are a lot of people trying to get this show cancelled, but have they ever watched it?! G.O.B.'s crappy magic, the chicken impressions, Buster's hook, George Michael (yes, everything about him is funny!), what's not to love? And it was up for 7 Emmys! Was Buster? I hope so, he's my favorite!

3. 24- Definitely the most exciting show on television. You might think that being in real time it would get boring, but they fill every second. Plus, it has more twists and turns than any other show, except maybe Alias. It also has 1 cute guy per season! Yep...Rick, Reza, Chase, Behrooz, even Spencer! Every time I watch it, it's like...I can't watch just one episode! It's like eating a bag of Lays! It definitely has the best twists, cliffhangers, action, and Tony! (Yes, they have the best Tony on television!)

4. Seinfeld- Everything about this show is hilarious. The Soup Nazi, Kramer, Newman, Little Jerry Seinfeld the rooster. It's just awesome. Especially how in every episode, all the crazy random things tie together. Yes, I've never been able to watch it in order, but whatever episode I see I am able to follow and the weird endings are always my favorite.

5. Alias- You've only begun, but just wait. People die, come back to life, lie, cheat, steal, and it has the best season endings ever!! Plus Michael Vartan is on the show--need I say more? You need not! He is one of the hottest guys on television, if not EVER! Not only is this show exciting, but it even has humor. It's action-y, but not too intense. It's great!

6. The Simpsons- I mean come on, it's been on television for 16 years! Perhaps some seasons weren't exactly the greatest, but there are quite a few in there that are absolutely ingenius! The early and late ones kind of sucked, but all the ones in between were just brilliant. It's older than I am! Obviously it did something right. Plus, everyone knows about this show- it's just plain hilarious.

7. Full House- Okay, I know it was cheesy, but this show was way under-appreciated. There were so many lovable characters, how could they not have a great storyline each week? And the daughters' ages were so far apart that there was always one you could connect to. Plus, each episode ended with the characters AND the viewers learning a (very corny) lesson. Plus, it had Bob Saget...and Steve was very cute.

8. Gilmore Girls- There is nothing about this show that I don't love. I mean, lots of obscure references that most people don't get (and make me feel smart), cute guys, and the best part: Rory is SMART! That's jsut plain awesome. I can't believe that I forgot about this one! I guess I was thinking of show I own or watch on tv because this one is definitely high on my list of favorites. I miss Dean!

9. Freaks and Geeks- Although it was short-lived, this show was amazing. The characters were all hilarious (oh, Bill) and it always had interesting storylines (the non-alcoholic beer and tuba girl come to mind first). Of course! I can't believe I forgot this one! I loved Bill! And Bill loved Dallas! Tuba Girl was awesome (and a hermaphrodite). "Tuuuuuuba Girl!" and "That's not playing an instrument, that's blowing into a toilet!" That was such a great show, I'm sad it didn't even last one full season.

10. Everybody Loves Raymond and The King of Queens- These 2 have to go together since King is a spin-off. These 2 shows are absolutely hilarious. Marie and Frank are just great, and Arthur on King is so funny! I mean, Raymond's nickname from school, "Lame-ond Gay-mond Go-Away-mond" and the "cafegymatorium"! And on King of Queens, the "I heart butter sign" and "Captain Neckfat". It's just funny. I've only seen two (hilarious) episodes of King of Queens, but I've watched Raymond for years. That dysfunctional family went to the brink of insanity, but stopped before being too far-fetched!

10 Worst Disney Movies

1. Bambi- Okay, there is only a total of about 10 different words used in this entire movie. The music is annoying and lasts way too long, the storyline is thin, and the mother should not have been killed because three-year-olds watch Disney movies and I don't think they are ready for death (OR extremely boring music).

2. Fantasia- Oh, my gosh. How could they do this to people? There are like...NO words, boring music (except for the Stravinsky Firebird Suite, of course!) and even MORE boring cartoons! I mean, it is SO lame. I can't believe I own this. I only watch it when I'm trying really hard to go to sleep- it's that bad. I put myself through the torture of watching this last year, and ended up fast-forwarding through it. And they actually made a Fantasia 2000!! - With Gershwin music! What is is with our band?!

3. Dumbo- While the movie has its good points, I dislike it because half the film is spent with a drunk Dumbo seeing multi-colored elephants dance around (it's even worse than Fantasia at this point!) True, that always kind of bothered me, but I really like the "When I see an Elephant Fly" song.

4. Pinocchio- I never liked this movie. I mean, a kid made of wood whose nose grows when he lies. What is the point of this movie, exactly? Not to lie, or else some part of you will start to mysteriously grow. I agree with you though, I definitely disliked this movie.

5. Peter Pan- This movie gave me a headache. I'm not sure if it was the song (you can fly), the annoying characters (how can anyone actually like Tinkerbell?), or something else. I like the Peter Pan story, but Disney's production of it stunk. I don't think I ever actually saw it, but I do know that the "Never Smile at a Crocodile" song was annoying.

6. The Great Mouse Detective- Like I said, I never really liked this movie much. It was kind of boring to me, Olivia's voice annoyed me, and the bat with the peg leg was really scary when he popped out of the cabinet at the toy store!! Other than that stuff, it was okay, I guess. I love this movie! Basil is awesome and I loved it when the bat thing scared me! Plus, "Ratigan" is an awesome song. True, that was always my favorite part!

7. The Jungle Book- This movie barely has a plot. Baloo is annoying, King Louie is annoying, and the fiery tiger and the end is terrifying! No child should have to watch that! That was scary! Plus, those vultures, geez! "What do you want to do?" "I don't know, what do you want to do?" SO annoying!! Plus, I think Mowgli was WAY too young to be interestedin girls...he was like 8! And he wore a diaper!

8. Robin Hood- Not only do I dislike the plot (stealing from the rich to give to the poor...clearly not written by a Conservative), but it's boring. I mean, it might just be because in 9th grade, we were all Disney characters, and I had to be Maid Marion because John loved Robin Hood...I don't know. I got to be Ariel! I'm 16 just like her now finally. As for Robin Hood, I do like stealing from the rich...etc., but the movie was a little boring.

9. Toy Story- Why do so many people like this movie? Buzz was a jerk and an idiot, and I don't blame Woody at all for pushing him out the window. And all the other toys first ignore Woody and then hate him. Andy is just careless and rude. I didn't like Buzz either, but I DO like this movie. What can you expect from Andy, he's a little boy! And then, you know Sid's scary, but the movie definitely has its moments.

10. Snow White- Okay, I know it was the first Disney movie and the first full-length animation and all that jazz, but is it really that great? The plot is kind of boring, Snow White's voice is annoying, and the songs aren't all that great. Plue the Queen makes a pretty scary hag. Oh, and no WAY was Snow White the most beautiful girl in the kingdom! She's ugly! And the dwarves, while funny, are really pretty stupid when you think about it. I don't like any of the songs either.

10 Best Episodes of TV Shows

1. TOW Chandler in a Box- Okay, not only is the fact that Chandler is in a box funny (and really sweet, it shows how much Joey's friendship means to him), but it has Michael Vartan! The Thanksgiving episodes were always the greatest, and this one's my favorite. I love Michael Vartan. I love Friends. Put the two together and add Chandler in a box? Perfection.

2. TOW The Prom Video- Okay, the lobster bit is one of the funniest things I've ever heard, Rachel and Ross finally get together (for a while), and Joey gives Chandler a bracelet!! = ) Um, how many cameras were ON you? That is still one of my favorite quotes.

3. "Amigos"- Arrested Development- Some of the BEST Ann jokes come out of this episode, plus...the mayonegg!! And the introduction of Gene Parmesan! I'm guessing this is the one where the go to Mexico. I love Gob's chicken imitation!!

4. TOW Rachel and Monica lose their apartment- You learn so much hilarious infomation about the Friends during the game that they play. Chandler is afraid of the Lord of the Dance, Joey had an imaginary friend named Maurice who was a space cowboy! And the TV Guide comes to Ms. Chanandler Bong! Yes!

5. The episode of Seinfeld with the ugly baby- I don't know what about this episode I love the most: the "breathtaking" baby, Kramer stealing the lobsters, the fact that it's at the beach, or George's shrinkage. It's just a great episode! I've actually seen this one! It's hilarious.

6. TOW They go to Vegas- Okay, Rachel has a mustache, they get drunk (which is hilarious), and they get married! Plus, I love the fight between Phoebe and the lurker. Oh my gosh, and the hand twins!! "This hand is your hand, this hand is my hand...no wait it's your hand...oh wait, that's my hand." And Chandler's "something old" is a condom that has been in his wallet since he was 13. Monica says, "That'll work!"..."...I don't think so."

7. The Gilmore Girls with the dance contest- It has dancing! And you just have to love Kirk, he's awesome! Yes, and Dean looks especially cute in this episode, until he dumps Rory, of course.

8. TOW Monica and Chandler's Wedding- This episode is so sweet! I love that they didn't screw up their wedding. Plus Rachel is pregnant and Joey has to deal with the drunk guy at work. Gary Oldman was great! And Joey showed up in his costume. This was definitely a great episode. And while we're on the topic of weddings...

9. The King of Queens where they go to a wedding- The people had disposable cameras out for people to take pictures, Doug got bored and took it into the bathroom, adorning himself with a miniature top hat. And also, the Everybody Loves Raymond where Ray gets scared staying home by himself, so he goes to Robert's, who then became afraid because his shoe tree's shadow looked like a monkey with an ax. So they both end up at Frank and Marie's and decide to scare Frank by hiding in his closet and jumping out when he comes to bed, but Frank knows they are there and ends up scaring them by pretending to have sex with Marie. So funny! Haven't seen either of theose, but want to.

10. The series finale of Friends- It's the end of a legacy and they do a GREAT job. Rachel and Ross FINALLY get together, Monica and Chandler get twins, everyone finds where they need to go in life, and they all live happily ever after!

Top 10 TV Shows From When We Were Kids

1. Rugrats- This was an adorable show, and showing life from a baby's perspective was a great idea. They always got into hilarious predicaments and their parents were so clueless! The new ones suck, though. I know! I tried to watch it the other morning, and it was just awful! I always loved the ones where Chucky had to overcome something he was afraid of, he was my favorite. I liked Angelica!

2. Are You Afraid of the Dark?- The best thing about this show was that a lot of them were actually really scary! The vampires next door, the ghost prison, the clown, the alien camera, there were lots of really scary ones! I miss this show--I hope they put it on dvd! I know! I am definitely buying it!

3. Barney- Though this show is fun to make fun of, I loved it when I was 3. It taught me so many songs, all my manners, and not to waste electricity. If all kids had watched this, maybe we wouldn't have so many idiots out there (like this class!) I agree--about the class AND the show! It was a good show! I thought Michael (the blond guy) was cute, and there were so many great songs!

4. Doug- We talked about this the other day. I always loved this show! It was great story lines and it was funny--especially Skeeter. Too bad Disney had to go and ruin it. They did! This show was great. I remember that they were in middle school and I thought that they were so mature and cool.

5. Reading Rainbow- The song that introduced the show was great, the host was great, and the stories were great. I remember I would eat M&M cookies and watch this show and think it was neat that my cookies were rainbows too. This was such a great show! I loved LeVar Burton, he was like the coolest guy ever. And the song was great-- butterfly in the sky, I can go twice as high! Take a look, it's in a book, a reading rainbow!

6. Zoobilee Zoo- I was convinced for the longest time that I imagined this show because no one else seems to remember it! But I loved it! Whazzat Kangaroo was my favorite, and Lookout Bear. The mayor was a scary leopard guy, and there was a cockatoo, Bravo the Fox, Van Gogh Lion, a Beaver...I think that's all. All I remember of the song is "Zoobilee Zoo, Zoobilee Zoo, magic and wonder are waiting for you..." But anyway, I really loved this stupid show when I was in kindergarten. I miss it. You are insane, and this show never existed. Sorry!

7. Eureka's Castle- I don't remember much except that I absolutely loved this show and the star was like a viking princess. I also had big plastic puppets of all the characters. That was a great show! I don't remember anything about it, but I know I loved it!

8. Pee-Wee's Playhouse- I always thought this was a little kids' show, but after watching it more recently, I realize there was subtle adult humor. But the show was great. My dad and I loved it and always watched it together, he was even in the Pee-Wee Fan Club! And yes, I remember all the words to the song. Never watched it. You were too young.

9. Hey Arnold- This show had so many characters, and they all had distinct personalities. Arnold, Gerald, Phoebe, Helga, Sid, Stinky, Harold, Eugene...the list goes on and on. The 15 minute episodes were always interesting. Stinky was my favorite...don't know why.

10. Muppet Babies- this was a GREAT show! They were so cute! They taught kids to use their imaginations by going on big adventures in their own rooms. I liked the ones where the science kids came over. Beaker was so cute because he only squeaked. I can't remember the other one's name, but his head was shaped like a honeydew melon. Yes! I have seen every episode of this show! My favorite was when Miss Piggy was sick and they gave her lots of stuff.

Reading over this list now, it may seem like we were pretty shallow (good thing I didn't post the list of hot guys) but I think we were just having fun and trying to make a boring class more fun.
