I absolutely hate waiting around on other people. For example, a friend wants to hang out, so you get all ready to go out. You think they meant soon, but they didn't really give you a specific time, so you wait around for them to call you back. You try calling them but they don't answer, and texting doesn't work either. Maybe there are other things you could have been doing, but you didn't because you knew the minute you started, your friend would show up. It seems that every one of my friends is a professional at this. Is this normal? Do other people's friends make them wait all the time too?
Of course it's not just my friends that do this, though. Another pro at this is utility people. My dad will say, "Hey Shelley. I need you to stay at home all day because the pest control/cable/plumber/air conditioning guy will be there between 10 - 4." And of course the guy won't show up until 3:55. Another day wasted.
I know there are literally hundreds of things I could be doing right now. I could read a book, or watch some tv or a movie, I could play a game, practice guitar, listen to music, honestly I could do anything. But I think at this point I'm too annoyed to focus on any of that. If you didn't guess, this dilemma is happening to me at this very moment, but I'm not giving this person a fair chance. In this instance, he DID warn me this might happen, and when I texted him, he did reply. You could say he is indisposed at the moment, and it is not his fault. I get that, and I'm not mad at him...but I am definitely frustrated.
