1. Birds: I don't know why, but lately I find myself drawn to things with birds on them. Maybe it stemmed from the Bridges logo, I don't know, but I'm kind of obsessed with birds. Even my background for this blog....
2. Banjo: I have no idea where this started, but I've grown a taste for banjo music. Well, I guess not specifically JUST banjo music, but anything that has banjo in it, like The Avett Brothers, The Duhks, even The Bridges use banjo in their song "One Way"...I swear one day I will stop showing just how obsessed I am with The Bridges. This banjo thing got a little crazy, to the point where I now OWN one. It's an old time, clawhammer style banjo. I learned pretty quickly that clawhammer is easy to learn, but not for anything worth playing. Make sense? No, I know it doesn't. I have a book which I can play all the songs in. But if I wanted to play along with the banjo in a song I like, I probably wouldn't be able to.
3. When I started dating Ben, I learned pretty fast that he has a thing for Korea. I don't know what first got him into it, but he can speak it pretty decently and has even been a few times. I thought it would be cool if I learned some. I got Rosetta Stone for Korean and for a while was learning super quickly. I still don't know anything useful, but I can sing a lot of KPop songs all the way through, and isn't that the real reason people want to learn Korean? :P
